Caricature, "Hello To Everybody!!!!!!"

This is a Caricature. It was created by Dorr Bothwell. It is dated ca. 1945. Its medium is graphite and gouache on paper. It is a part of the Exhibitions department.


All the workers in the Dorothy Liebes Studio wore matching blue work jackets sourced in Chinatown in San Francisco. Artist Dorr Bothwell, who worked in the studio in the late 1940s, was nevertheless able to capture the individuality of each studio member in this drawing.

It is credited Dorothy Liebes Papers, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.
