Eyes On Me Piercing, from Gold Vein Fall / Winter 2014 collection
This is a Eyes on Me piercing. It was designed by Delfina Delettrez.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Delfina Delettrez as part of Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.
Three iconic eyes dangle from this provocative piercing adornment. A luminous pearl anchors the sequence at the top, and two additional pearls provide spacing between the eyes. The resulting ornament that is both witty and provocative.Delettrez is a fourth-generation member of the Fendi family, whose work takes inspiration from surrealism.
