Sarong Fragment (Thailand)

This is a Sarong fragment. It is dated 1900–1950 and we acquired it in 1972. Its medium is cotton and its technique is resist-dyed, mordant painted, and painted on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Estate of Julian Clarence Levi.
