Egg Pendant Necklace, ca. 1991
This is a necklace. It was designed by Sandra Enterline. It is dated ca. 1991 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is hollow formed and fabricated silver and stainless steel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
In her Egg pendant, which relates to her previous work with spheres, Enterline uses a metal perforation technique in which she drills myriad tiny holes to let light to stream through, to produce a powerful interplay between the interior and exterior of the piece.
