Photograph, DuPont New York Fashions

This is a Photograph. It was designed by Andrew Wood and Dorothy Wright Liebes and made for Jasco Fabrics and made for (as the client) DuPont Co.. It is dated 1966. Its medium is reproduction. It is a part of the Exhibitions department.

In a skillful example of cross-promotion, Liebes encouraged her client Jasco Fabrics to use DuPont fibers like Orlon, Antron, and Dacron. The resulting collection of fabrics was deployed by various American fashion designers, whose ensembles were then featured in the "DuPont New York Fashions" promotion.

It is credited Dorothy Liebes Papers, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.

This object was previously on display as a part of the exhibition A Dark, A Light, A Bright: The Designs of Dorothy Liebes.
