Prototype, CATCH HIV Testing Device

This is a prototype. It was designed by Hans Ramzan and Farah Ramzan.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Hans Ramzan as part of Design and Healing: Creative Responses to Epidemics.

HIV is a treatable illness if caught early. Catch, designed by Hans and Farah Ramzan, is an HIV test that is as easy to use as a home pregnancy test. Catch is under development for manufacture.
