Sampler (USA), 1875

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Margaret Hoog. It is dated 1875 and we acquired it in 2008. Its medium is wool and cotton embroidery on wool foundation and its technique is embroidered in chain stitch on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
