Jug (Germany)

This is a jug. It was manufactured by Elsterwerda. It is dated 1920–40 and we acquired it in 1997. Its medium is glazed earthenware and metal. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Victor Wiener. It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

On bottom in brown, a shield shape containing some type of fowl surmounted by a banderole stating "Elsterwerda". This seal is surrounded by "U.904" and "29".
