Dessert Plate (England)

This is a Dessert plate. It was designed by Enid Seeney and manufactured by Ridgway Potteries Ltd.. It is dated 1957 and we acquired it in 1986. Its medium is glazed earthenware, transfer-printed decoration. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by David McFadden.

H x diam.: 1.9 x 20 cm (3/4 x 7 7/8 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside, printed in black: "Homemaker/Made in England" [in script]; "THESE COLOURS ARE PERMANENT/UNDERGLAZE AND DETERGENT PROOF" in block.
