Sampler (Netherlands), 1777–78

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Trntie Doddes. It is dated 1777–78 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk embroidery and linen overcasting on linen and its technique is cross, back and eyelet and overcasting stitches on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
