Sampler (USA)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Mary Ann Walton. We acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk embroidery on linen foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross, tent and rococo stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles Department department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. Henry E. Coe.
