Cutwork Border (Italy), 16th–17th century

This is a Cutwork border. It is dated 16th–17th century and we acquired it in 1971. Its medium is linen and its technique is embroidered with cutwork and needle lace fillings on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
