This is a Waistcoat. It is dated ca. 1795 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is silk and its technique is silk 7&1 satin (gray) with supplementary warp binding supplementary weft (white). all other colors have been painted on the surface. It is a part of the Textiles department.
