Bag (Peru), 1260–1500

This is a Bag. It is dated 1260–1500 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is wool and its technique is section a) complimentary warp, plain weave; section b) warp-faced plain weave with warp stripes; warp selvage for opening of bag; sides intact. It is a part of the Textiles department.
