This is a Placemat. It was designed by Edith Huntington Snow and woven by Edith Huntington Snow. It is dated 1930 and we acquired it in 1956. Its medium is linen warp, rayon weft, silk and synthetic silk (?) and its technique is plain weave with supplementary continuous and discontinuous weft (?). It is a part of the Textiles Department department.
