Basket (England)

This is a basket. It was produced by Worcester Porcelain Factory and manufactured by Royal Worcester. It is dated 1813–40 and we acquired it in 1938. Its medium is porcelain, overglaze decoration and gilding. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Erskine Hewitt. It is credited Bequest of Erskine Hewitt.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 10.5 × 28 × 23.5 cm (4 1/8 in. × 11 in. × 9 1/4 in.)

It has the following markings

[1] "ROYAL PORCELAIN WORKS" / "FLIGHT, BARB & BARR" / "WORCESTER" / "&" / "COVENTRY Str. LONDON" with crown above, printed in dark red overglaze [2] crowned "FBB", impressed underglaze
