Cachepot (France), 18th century

This is a Cachepot. It was manufactured by Mennecy porcelain factory. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1935. Its medium is porcelain with polychrome overglaze enameling. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Robert B. Noyes. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Robert B. Noyes.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 15 x 16.3 x 19 cm (5 7/8 x 6 7/16 x 7 1/2 in.)

It has the following markings

There is a mark on the bottom: "H [like] O" and two elongated leaves in green and manganese, similar to those on the interior. (see card).
