This is a Oval snuffbox with circular portrait miniature. It was painted by Henry Spicer. It is dated ca. 1775 and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is tortoiseshell, chased gold, enamel on copper. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
