This is a dark brown campaniform case. It is decorated with two paneled bands that wrap around the case’s circumference. The lower band sits above a fillet of laurel leaves on the bottom of the case. This lower band depicts two hounds in a Renaissance style in identical, mirrored positions. Each of the hounds stand on their hind legs. They are both bucking forward with their front legs lifted horizontally in the air. Their heads are turned back respectively away from the center of the case. Scrolling bands of foliation come up from below and wrap over the two dogs. Above this lower band is another fillet of scrolling foliations upon which a second band rests. This band contains a heraldic lion. It stands with its hind legs outstretched. Its front right paw is lifted. Its neck, tilted back, is elongated and covered in a textured main. The lion’s head is lifted upwards. The animals face is not anatomically correct; rather, its lower jaw is small, while its upper jaw and snout come to a curved point. The lion’s tail is thin and lifted, forming a decorative s-shape. Above this band is a final fillet of interlocked curving motifs. The case is caped with a circle of filiated decoration. On the side of the case are four cylindrical loops, likely meant for a rope to be threaded through.

They also vary in texture, resembling either reptile leather (snake, crocodile) or cow leather. Although similar in size, some are square and others are rectangular, some are attached vertically, some horizontally. The swatches are placed next to each other along a diagonal of the wooden panel, from upper left to lower right corner.
