Purse
This is a Purse. It was designed by Rose and manufactured by Beauvais Manufactory.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Mobilier National as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.
The popularity of automobile touring and cross-country racing in the 1920s is evident in the whimsical decoration of this purse woven in 1928 by the seventeenth-century tapestry factory at Beauvais.
It is credited Lent by Mobiler national, Paris, 1761.
