A bright violet ground with an iridescent quality created by using magenta warps and bright blue wefts, with wide pattern bands of zigzags and geometric forms in shiny golden rayon yarns. Fringed at both ends.

Narrow horizontal stripe in various shades of blue. The wider bands are patterned with small dots, stars or chevrons, and are separated by two plain bands. The piece is composed of two fabric widths stitched together at the center.

Panel formed of eleven narrow strips, each 3 3/4 inches wide, sewn together. Each strip is patterned by a 17 inch section of narrow blue and white stripes alternating with an equal length section of a wide blue stripes, decorated with small geometric brocaded shapes in bright colors. The strips are sewn together so that the whiter and darker areas form a checkerboard. Red stripe along one long edge. Warp fringed at both ends.

Cotton, dyed dark brown and block-printed in a dark glossy substance, in geometric patterns in groups of three rows, forming rectangles. The motifs are carved on calabashes then stamped on fabric in a technique called adinkra.
