Marisol Centeno (Mexican, b. 1985) studied weaving and textile design at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Currently she serves as the creative director of Bi Yuu, a company she founded in 2012 that produces hand-woven and hand-dyed textiles. Her practice is primarily focused on using high and low technologies to create works that combine contemporary design innovation with traditional artisan processes. She has collaborated with international brands such as Cartier, Adidas, H&M, and Procter & Gamble as well as with architecture firms Tatiana Bilbao Estudio and Gensler on commissioned textile installations.
