William Hutton & Sons
The company was original founded as "William Hutton" in 1800 in Brimingham, before moving to 27 High Street, Sheffield in 1832. After the death of William Hutton, his son William Carr Hutton took over and eventually changed the name of the firm to William Hutton & Son when his youngest son, Herbert Hutton, joined in 1864.Following the death of William Carr Hutton in 1865, Herbert Hutton was joined by his brothers James Edward Hutton and Robert Hutton. The firm was changed to William Hutton & Sons in 1870 through 1893.In 1893 the firm was acquired by Rupert Favell & Co. and was restructed into a limited. It was acquired again in 1902 by Creswick & Co. In 1930 the buisness folded.
