Artist, designer, sculptor, and metalsmith Zelig Segal was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1933. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art in 1949, and in 1964 he became the head of the gold and silver smith department of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
