Chantilly Porcelain Factory
Porcelain manufactory established by the Prince de Condé at his chateau in Chantilly. Early wares of the manufactory imitated Japanese ceramics, and also used Eastern motifs for decoration. Soft-paste porcelain was the medium for early production. The manufactory specialized in delicately modeled jugs, tureens, plates, teapots, cups and saucers in the shape of leaves.
