Vladislav Dmochowski was a member of a Lithuanian family of artists active in the capital of Vilnius in the early nineteenth century. He was a painter and draftsman whose subjects frequently included genre and hunting scenes worked in watercolor or oil. He worked in Poland, exhibiting paintings in Warsaw, Krakow, and Lubin, and also completed a sketch for stained glass in Krakow’s Church of the Holy Virgin. (JGK)
