Adelle Lutz was born on 13 November 1948 in New York City. She is well-known as a costume designer, a model, and an actress. In 1995, she played the role of Aung San Suu Kyi in the film “Beyond Rangoon,” a film directed by John Boorman. She also had roles in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, Jonathan Demme’s The Silence of the Lambs, Wim Wenders’s Until the End of the World, and Oliver Stone’s Wall Street, among other films. She designed the costumes for Punch and Judy Get Divorced. In 1987, she married the musician David Bryne, although they divorced in 2004. They have a daughter, Malu Abeni Valentine Byrne.
