Stephen Burks

Stephen Burks was born in 1969 and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He studied architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), and product design at IIT’s Institute of Design, continuing onto graduate studies at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture and Planning. Burks’s studio, Readymade Projects, is based in New York. A versatile designer, he has created products and furniture for a wide range of companies, including Clinique, Estee Lauder, Harry Winston, Herman Miller, Roche Bobois, and many others. Burks’s work has been featured at the Museum of Arts and Design, and was exhibited in a solo show at the Studio Museum in Harlem. In 2015, Burks received a National Design Award... more.
