Paul Davis worked first at Push Pin Graphic where he produced a series of figures painted on rough, wood panels with superimposed targets. His painting style is derived from early American Colonial art. As his style evolved his illustrative work became more naturalistic and solid. His figures have a substantial weight and volume.
