Raimundo de Madrazo
Madrazo was a prominent late 19th-century and early 20th-century Spanish painter, and part of the Madrazo dynasty of artists. He specialized in commissioned portraits by society patrons and was active in Paris and New York. He also painted genre works that often incorporated subtle eroticism. Madrazo is considered an important precursor to the subsequent generation of Spanish painters, which included Picasso and Dalí.
