Education: Boston Museum School of Fine Art, 1948-49; Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia 1949-50; Arts Students' League, New York 1950-51; Black Mountain College, Beria, North Carolina under Robert Motherwell and Franz Kline, 1951-52. Head of Art Department at Souther Seminary Juniory College Buena Vista, Virginia 1955-56. Recipient: Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Travelling Fellowship, 1952.
