Brian Glenney (American, b. 1974) is a professor of philosophy specialized in early modern thought and the philosophy of psychology. He completed his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Southern California with his dissertation "Molyneux’s Question Answered" (2007). Sensory perception is at the heart of his research. Glenney’s forthcoming book from Routledge, Philosophy and the History of Perception, explores sensory perception throughout history. He co-founded the Accessible Icon Project with Sara Hendren and Tim Ferguson-Sauder to promote a new, more active version of the International Symbol of Access available for free in the public domain. Glenney taught at Gordon College and is now an Assistant Professor at Norwich University where he currently teaches “Business Ethics” and “Philosophy of Science.” He recently contributed a chapter in Defining Sport: Contemporary Explorations (2017) titled “Skateboarding, Sport, and Spontaneity: Towards a Subversive Definition of Sport.”
