Homer LaGassey
Homer LaGassey began his design career at General Motors (GM) in 1942 working on military machinery before he was drafted to serve in World War II. LaGassey returned to General Motors after earning an Industrial Design degree from Pratt in 1947 and became an essential member of the Oldsmobile and Buick studios. The chaotic Buick studio at GM prompted LaGassey to leave for Chrysler in 1957, where design head Virgil Exner named him the chief stylist of Dodge. In 1960, LaGassey transferred to Ford, where he would remain for the rest of his design career.
