Ruutu Vase

This is a vase. It was designed by Ronan Bouroullec and Erwan Bouroullec and manufactured by littala. We acquired it in 2018. Its medium is mold-blown, ground and polished glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Ruutu (Finnish for diamond or square) is the name of this collection of modular vases produced in five sizes and seven colors. The Bouroullec brothers’ minimal, rectilinear vessels work together as a family of colored transparent glass forms that the user arranges to create a varied color landscape.

This object was donated by Ahlstrom-Iittala, Inc.. It is credited Gift of littala.
