Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Kazumi Nagano. It is dated 2015 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is folded linen paper, nylon thread, gold wire, silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
For this brooch, Nagano wove linen paper on a handloom and folded it into a curvaceous three dimensional form utilizing the traditional Japanese technique of origami.
