This is a Vase. It was decorated by Sara Sax and produced by Rookwood Pottery. It is dated 1917 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Harry C. Sigman.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 27.7 × 12 cm (10 7/8 × 4 3/4 in.)

It has the following markings

Marks on base, stamped; Rookwood reversed R back to back with P insignia with 16 flames, over "XVII" above "956C," as well as the insignia of the artist- a large "S" with end curling into an "x."
