Maquette for a Balcony Grill Railing

This is a railing. It was designed by Hector Guimard and manufactured by Fonderies de Saint-Dizier. It is dated ca. 1900 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is cast iron. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Harry C. Sigman.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 11.7 × 121.9 × 3.2 cm (4 5/8 in. × 48 in. × 1 1/4 in.)

It has the following markings

Stamped on reverse, center: GE IM (M is underlined)
