Model, Forest of Us

This is a Model. It is dated 2021. Its medium is board, foam core, and mirror paper; installed 2021, pace gallery, superblue, miami, florida, usa. It is a part of the department.

“Forest of Us starts with a film that considers the visual symmetries between lungs and trees. The film breaks apart to reveal a gleaming mirror maze, which splices viewers’ reflections together. The work culminates in an expanse of water, across which people perceive branching forms overlaid on their reflections. Invoking the idea of trees flowing through our breath, it suggests a greater connection to the natural world—through perception of the symmetries between human and more-than-human geometries.”
