This undated photograph shows Sophia Crownfield at her worktable, brush in hand. In the late 1890s, she included her name in Trow’s Business Directory as a designer located at 3 East 14th Street in New York along with her sister, Eleanor F. Crownfield, and Emma W. Doughty, who also designed textiles for Cheney Brothers.
