This is a prospectus. It was designed by Joost Schmidt.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Merrill Berman as part of Herbert Bayer: Bauhaus Master.
This leaflet promotes a chess set designed by Josef Hartwig (German, 1880–1955). The pieces use basic geometry to express how each one moves.
