Valance (probably USA)

This is a Valance. It is dated 1900–1950 and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is wool embroidery, linen foundation and its technique is embroidey using wool in satin, herringbone, back, chain, running, buttonhole, feather, bouillon knot, french knot and other stitches on 2\2 twill linen foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
