This is a Chocolate box and lid. It was manufactured by Carstens-Uffrecht. It is dated 1920–40 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

It has the following markings

On bottom of box, a raised "631". Also, in black, a triangle containing a horizontal line with a rising perpendicaular arrow surmounting "Dek. 257".
