Drawing, View of a Walled Octagonal Garden with Evergreen Trees
A drawing of an octagonal garden using opaque watercolor in deep green, yellow, and burnt sienna. The garden is symmetrical with four quadrants with mirrored designs. The center of the garden features octagonal hedges broken into four sections with walkways in between. Evergreen trees are embedded in either end of each hedge for a total of eight trees. In the very center of the garden is a circular plant bed divided into eight pie shaped sections. It is painted with blue and yellow brushstrokes indicating flowers. A low plant bed fills each corner of the garden. Each echoes of octagonal shape of the hedge at the center and is squared off at its far edge. They are filled with yellow brushstrokes indicating flowers. Grey sculpture like shapes are scattered throughout the garden. A reddish-brown wall with thick, tall green trees behind it surrounded the garden. Green hills and blue skies can be seen in the distance.
