Child's Gown (England)

This is a Child's gown. It is dated 17th century and we acquired it in 1940. Its medium is linen, cotton and its technique is embroidery (satin, overcast cord, back, herringbone, laid work, coral, knot, buttonhole, and detached chain stiches). It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by DeWitt Clinton Cohen and Mrs. DeWitt Clinton Cohen. It is credited Gift of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Clinton Cohen in memory of Eleanor and Sarah Hewitt.
