Textile, Shasta

This is a Textile. It was designed by Isabel Scott and manufactured by Isabel Scott Fabrics. It is dated 1970–79 and we acquired it in 1975. Its medium is acrylic and its technique is supplementary warp in a plain weave foundation which floats on one face or is laid in the foundation structure; the floats are cut leaving a pattern which is denser than the background or foundation structure. It is a part of the Textiles department.

Its dimensions are

H x W: 91.5 x 64 cm (36 in. x 25 3/16 in.)
