Border (France)

This is a Border. It is dated mid-19th century and we acquired it in 1971. Its medium is linen and its technique is bobbin lace, late valencienne ground. It is a part of the Textiles department.

Elements were removed and put in as required by the pattern. The elements of the background net are the same as those of the motifs.

This object was bequest of Marian Hague. It is credited Bequest of Marian Hague.
