Fragment (South India)

This is a Fragment. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton and its technique is mordant painted and immersion dyed and resist dyed (chintz) on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Benjamin Ginsburg.
