Fragments (Russia)

This is a Fragments. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1967. Its medium is silk, metallic thread and its technique is 8-harness satin patterned by a 3/1 twill supplementary fabric structure and brocaded supplementary wefts bound with the supplementary fabric structure, one of the wefts of the supplementary fabric is bound by the warps of the foundation fabric for a chang. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Eric Isenberger. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Eric Isenberger.
