Shawl (India)

This is a Shawl. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1967. Its medium is wool and its technique is 2/2 twill tapestry (field); 2/2 twill double interlocked tapestry (inner border); 2/2 twill tapestry patches embroidered mainly in stem stitch. It is a part of the Textiles department.
