This is a sugar bowl, cover. It was made by John Gibbons and James Goodwin. It is dated 1726–1727 and we acquired it in 1958. Its medium is silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It has the following markings

On underside: [1] initials "JG", stamped (maker's mark, James Goodwin) [2] "L", stamped (date letter mark) [3] leopard, stamped (London town mark) [4] lion passant, stamped (British standard mark)
